I have the housing and the M8-1.25 and 3/8-24 collets. However, "Cross" contacted me first about the tools so I need to hear back from him if he still wants them. These are absolutely the best stud tools I have ever used and they don't damage the threads at all.

Which collett's do you have. I have the snap-on tool but only the collett for the CRANE studs. If you want to sell these let me know.

Depends on the year. Later years were pretty much identical except for the obvious cam and heads.

Hey brother I have a question for you concerning 2 engine's. I am in a constant battle with a great friend of mine about the LS1 VS the LS6. were these 2 engines built with the same bolt on parts to their stock short block would the LS6 short block see higher HP/TQ numbers? I told him they are the same block and it is like compairing a 2 bolt main 5.7 to a 4 bolt main 5.7. What are your thoughts

Here it is (I'm home today). I cut the end of of a socket and had it welded to a flat bar. Pretty simple if you know someone who welds and it will come in hand later too.

You need to do this with the plugs out. I made a tool to do this, it is comprised of a socket (cut in half) welded to a 1/8" flat bar. I have posted photos of it before if you can find it with search. I can't get at it now due to being at work.

Vettenuts, I'm almost finished with the head install. I've been following the directions from ls1howto, but after placing the YT's on they reccomend to turn the motor by hand. I didn't remove the powersteering rack since doing heads only, so do I still need to turn the motor over by hand? I don't remember reading anything in the shop manual about needing to turn it over by hand to build up compression. Once again just checking before I mess up. Thanks for all of your advice.
