    Herb,

I have an original '60 270hp 4 speed car that my Father bought from the original owner back in 1962.
It has 88K miles on a no hit body But the original paint and interior are totally worn out.
I would like to redo it correctly.

I saw a post from back in 2008 where a member was asking for restoration photos and you said you had
over a 1000 pictures of your project and gave a link "http:public.fotki.com/htmiata/1960_corvette"

I followed the link, but was denied access with this message --

You may try to add Herb Turner (htmiata) to your friends list.

If your restoration project still available, could you please grant me access?

    Thanks
    Ron

    Herb,
This is a long shot, but it doesn't look like you are overwhelmed with responses to you question about an artist. Several years ago I hung out on the forum clubcobra.com. There was a member by the name Buzz who posted many works of car graphic art and concept cars. I don't know if he still hangs out there, but you may be able to find and contact him. Good luck.

They are correct....unless you widen the rear fenders and move them out the widest you could get would be about 8" rims.

If I had to do over would consider SRIII Motorsports, but you need to consider that it won't be as low as the JMR. JMR has a lot of adjustability.

verycoolparts.com works for me, but I am not sure if it is the same owners. My intake is made by DC&O out of Australia, you might try contacting them to see who distributes in USA for them. Electronics are an Accel Gen 7 controller. Kind of a bear to program.

    Other questions?

    firstgear,

Hope you don't mind me reaching out directly. Have a few questions on your Jim Meyer post back on 07-26-2007. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...pension-2.html

Love the stance & look of your Vette!

I'm about to start bringing my fathers '60 Vette back to life (been towing it around f/ 28 years) & am strongly considering the JM F/R Suspension Upgrades. Questions: 1) What size rims were you able to squeeze under the rear & did you have to make any body mods? I'd like to get to a 9.5" - 10" rim but JM is telling me that 8" rim is it! 2) If you had to do the upgrade again, is there anything else you would consider doing differently? Such as going with a Tri-4 Link over the Pan Hard? 3) Unrelated to suspension... Is that an EFI Crossram? verycoolparts link is broken. Been eyeing these for years! What electronics system did you connect to it?

Thank you in advance for your time. So grateful.

    Cheers,
    William

Measure the openings and make a template. Tell Lambert what you want.

When you make the template, adjust so it fits both sides, one template for both. I made my template out of flat sheet metal and used my die grinder to adjust to openings.

You will be able to see what LED light set up he has, I think it was 6" oval??? Double check size.

Went to NAPA store and in the trailer/truck light area they had some trailer light boxes. Found a close enough size that had a pig tail on it if I remember. Mounted the LED circuit board (aquarium silicone) to the box.

Check fit of lens to bumper, I had to adjust here and there to get very flush looking on outside. Just fuss with it. Mounted the tail lights lens to the bumper again with same silicone.

Mounted the LED box to the bumper with same silicone again......

Hey Herb, Id like to do what you did on the rear bumper lights on my '58. Although I want to use clear lenses and make them reverse lights. Can you help me to know how you did it so I dont have to reinvent the wheel ?

thanks for the compliments. It was a lot of work and still is to get every little thing like I want it.

here is a link to the company that imports this manifold
    http://www.verycoolparts.com/Stack.htm

scroll down about 1/2 way on the page.

You need to make sure that you have an engine coltroller that has enough variables to control. I have the Accel Gen 7 DFI controller. Between the manifold and the controller, pressure regulator and filter figure somewhere around $7500.

Then unless you are really good with modifying the variables, and I am not, be prepared to pay someone to get it right for you. At first the engine when started would be so rich that after 1 or 2 starts, you could not start the engine again, the plugs were soaked. So the cold engine start is the key and it is important to be leaner than you think. I took to an engine tuner and he was able to get it sorted out.

There is still a stumble in the program if you run it up leisurely but if you put your foot into it, away she goes with no stumble. I can tell you that I am always amazed at the people that walk by and then back up and want to look at the motor and the intake. I get a lot of people that would normally just walk by backing up and taking a look. It is kind of funny to watch.

Let me know if I can help....Herb

    Hi Herb,
I was looking at photos of your car and noticed your fuel injection. Would you mind telling me who it is from? I am not interested in it for my corvette, but for a 51 chevy I am working on.
    Thank You, Gary
P.S. you have a great car, I liked the trick photos you did a little while ago.
