The 200R is still working great. The 496 has not hurt it at all. I was thinking of going to a manual 5 or 6 speed if the 200R did not hold up. Guess it won't happen. My other 73 Vette's are all 4 speeds and automatic is a lot nicer in traffic. I got the Stage II with 2100 stall. I might have picked the higher stall but I am very happy with the package. With the 3:08 rear end overdrive does not really work well under 60 mph. But I usually manual shift it and I am sure you will too.
    Go for it!

    Hello,

I justed read a thread you posted back in 8/31/2011 regarding your Bowtie Overdrive (BTO) stage 2 200r4 transmission.

    I have a 1974 Corvette and I'm considering either a 200r4 or a 700r4.

From your post it seems that the 200r4 is the better way to go.

How is your 200r4 holding up? Any issues or problems?

Anything you would change or recommend?

I appreciate any feedback on these questions.

    THANKS,

    Jim
