I used a chromoly roll bar kit from S&W Racecars. Their kit comes with a straight piece of tubing that is supposed to fit horizontally behind the seats. I guess it would fit if you removed the soft top locking mechanism, but otherwise, I do not see how to make it work. According to the manufacturer "Our standard kits come with a straight seat crossmember, that will work in most applications, unless the seat is far back." I guess he never sat in a C1. S&W does make a custom "dropped seat crossmember" that should work, but I don't know why it was not included in the "standard" kit.
I ordered their dropped seat crossmember and it worked OK.

I am not using stock C1 seats, but that may cause a problem if you are.

I just read in a recent thread that you installed a roll bar in your c-1. Did you use anyone’s kit? Do you have any detailed pictures that you could share? They give me a hard time at the drag strip , I run 11.50’s.
    Thanks, Glenn Blum
