I just saw the "Saw it in person today" thread. In the six years I've been a member, what you encounter from the C6 owners is exactly what happened to the soon to be C6 buyers from the C5 owners in 2005. The same thing happened between the prospective C5 buyers and the C4 owners. Given time, many of the C6 owners who say they will never buy a C7 will, in fact, end up buying a C7, and will act as if they never made one negative post about the car. Happens every time a new generation or model comes around. Corvette owners tend to be the epitome of the phrase "the older you get, the harder it is to change".

That's partly the reason why I hardly ever post. Sometimes it's more interesting to sit back, watch the train wreck, and laugh. It's just about the only way to ensure you don't give yourself an aneurism due to the frustration that is the Corvette Forum.
