Joe, I have followed some of your builds in the past. I am curious if you have attempted to modify a stock SRIII Chassis with shortened front and rear arms and half shafts to create more outer face of wheel inset while using a stock set of fenders and 1 1/2” flared s quarter panels on a C2 coupe? I have been in a quandary as to how to fit a set of EVOD wheel under such a configuration (body and chassis) allowing for a 2”-2 1/2” lip on the front wheels and 3”-4” lip on the rear wheels.

I sent him a note. Please communicate with me by PM (private message) regarding this, rather than VM (visitor message) as VMs are public. Thanks.

    Hello Joe,
What condition is your rack in? Any signs of leaks? Is it the one that has a cradle that just bolts in? I've considering a power rack, but I have hooker side pipes and was told that I might have to modify the headers, Any knowledge. I'd be interested in yours. you say it's not out yet. I met you up in Reno a few years ago at Hot August Nights. I am planning a trip to see my folks in Winnemucca this November or December. Not sure on your timing, but possible? Let me know your thoughts, Ken 858 752 2882. Thanks

Not many people in this part of NV either! I'm in Gardnerville. The only reason to go to Reno Is to pick up parts or go to Summit.

No sir. I am just an Apple/Mac enthusiast, and a corporate pilot. I fly the Bombardier Global Express, and used to fly the Embraer Legacy. But would love to fly a C-17 loaded with corvettes! My Dad was in the AAC in WWII, and flew C46s and C47s. Are you a pilot? Cheers!

Joe I first have to tell you your videos are great. I have showed so many of my friends and we are hooked and can't get enough. I have ordered a SRIII chassis. I wanted one ever since I saw your 63 on YouTube. I am using the c5 front and rear with the viper rear. I bought all the parts locally. You sound like you have as much fun on your builds as I do. After the way my hilborn injected 409 is turning out I just couldn't resist the urge to go all the way and order the chassis. I hope you keep an eye on my project I value your input. Keep up the videos.

I bought and built three SRiii chassis. I installed a street shop chassis also for a friend. SRiii all the way. The SRiii owner and builder is a Pro and great to deal with before and after the sale. Ride quality goes to the SRiii with the viper rear and C6 suspension. The C4 trailing dog bone rear suspension is old school now a days . C6 and viper all the way. Tell Mike at SRiii Corvette Joe says hello.

Joe- New to this forum and trying to catch up on the depth of info here from you and the other members that have built C2 restomods. I'm ready to order a chassis and I'm looking for some legit feed back regarding ride and handling on completed C2s. This is a significant amount to spend and I'd love to hear pros and cons about your SRIII chassis as well as your history with Street Shop chassis.

Since I haven't figured out how to post pix on this forum.... if you're interested in my project: www.pro-touring.com member:sonksen_design

Anyway, I'd love to chat if you have the time!
