Drake, I set up the Family link to track the car as it is shipped as you did...... But I get an e mail from on star stating:

"We have attempted to finalize the vehicle set-up however, the vehicle configuration was incomplete and we need you to take the following steps :
make sure the LED light is green
after you have successfully completed these steps, please go to onstar.com/familylink and re-register the vehicle."
Basically it tells me I need to be in the car to activate on star before I can activate family link.

My question; there must be a work around for this....what did you do to make this work???
