    Damn, ya thats pricey, but it looks like a good kit. Maybe find an f-body or something in a junk yard. Any 99+ will have what you need.

    I'll feel comfortable I got everything I need. But yuck. More money I wasn't originally planning on. I'll appreciate it more in the end!

    Ya man, you can find a set of valve covers off basically any 99 and newer LS1 and they will work with those heads.

    Thanks for your response on my 243 heads question. You stated I'll need a set of center bolt valve covers. I take it this won't be a problem? I just need to order exactly what you stated. A set of center bolt valve covers?

    Thought I blew the engine but turns out I have a bad lifter and looks like I should replace my cam. Since half my engine is sitting in my garage and I figure there's no point in putting it back to stock so ..... wanted to go with the 243 heads, LS6 intake (maybe LS2?), a new comp cam (no idea what type), 36lb injectors, high pressure fuel pump, LG headers/LT's (d-o-w-n the line) etc. Figure why not?

    Figure I write a post taking suggestions. But wanted to start w/the heads as I have a chance to get them for pretty cheap. Just wanted to make sure they would work.
