sorry it took so long to get back to you again. i don't check this very often
    CL is www.craigslist.org

Thanks rebelee. I made most of it myself. The leather was stitched by a good friend in Nashville.

typically you can get by with just a deposit. a guy i used to rent from charged around $90 deposit. obviously this is a lot of $ so a drivers license or something else is definately better. i've heard of people who will hold debit cards and other stuff.
i bought most of my kayaks from CL. it was a much cheaper way to go. i did try to go for some matching kayaks though as i thought all different random ones would seem kind of odd to potential renters. the mesh seats are much nicer as far as comfort and they seem to hold up fine. most people seem to prefer them anyways, or use a cushion. most of the ones i bought came with paddles, but some "seasense" paddles were pretty cheap. i chose this business for the same reason- nobody rents them in my area. i charge $30 for the day for singles and $35 for tandems and canoes, but i've seen people who rent for more $. i've also seen one person who rents for $25 per day, but i think that's a bit too cheap.
i've gotten kayaks for as cheap as $100 on CL and a canoe for the same price. i have recreationals, whitewater/river runners, etc. hope this helps you and good luck

Oh ok, I did not see any photos of it in your albums. From what I can see on your avatar, it's beautiful!
    Thanks
