- This Vette was bought in January '83. I was extremely lucky to find this one since it was a look-alike for my '81 Silver Corvette which was stolen three months after I bought it. I remember my Dad telling me it was unwise to purchase another Vette since they were being stolen in New York "left and right." I used the insurance money and bought the '82 anyway. Probably the only time in my life I didn't listen to my Dad. If he were here today, I know he would agree I made the right decision.
