K9 thanks for the info, I am a little slow (no alot) getting back to you. Still figuring out how everything works on this website. Again I appreciate the info. I called a local Corvette restorer yesterday to see if he had a NPP system takeoff. Have not heard back from him. I saw a new "NPP in a Box" that makes the vacuum hook up a snap (179.95).

Gordon, at the risk of ticking off the others that have posted answers to your NPP question, I am sending this private message. Here's what I did: I have a '05. Purchased a take-off NPP system from a '08 for $800. (the guy was into racing) I then installed it. It installs with the butterfly valves open (ie, no vacuum). Then I installed a system called "Mild 2 Wild" which cost much less than $200. This system comes with the vacuum lines and a vacuum controller (mounted in trunk well). The controller allows manual control of the butterfly valves via a wireless remote fob. However, you don't get the factory automatic control at 3000rpm. There are other systems that do however. So my total cost was under $1000. Important to note that on my '05 the vacuum is tapped from the front of the manifold, was very easy, everything came with the M2W kit. However, on yours it is tapped from the back of the manifold and is quite hard to get to I have been told. --So, I have pretty much a factory system. It is dead quiet with the valves closed (but not at idle, a nice rumble then). Any more questions feel free to message me. 73, JIM - K9KUZ - also retired.
