Hi Paul,
My apologies for my tardy reply, I thought I was going to be at my storage facility this week where I could look at my 65, but I did not make it by.

I'm afraid I do not recall where the numbers are stamped. I recall my 62 has a date code stamped on the left half of the radiator, which is covered up by a decal on antifreeze. But I can't remember my 65 radiator.

The radiator has nothing to do with whether or not factory A/C is installed, so there are no modifications required. When I replaced the radiator in my 65 I removed the hood because you have to loosen the A/C condensor in order to access the fan shroud bolts.

What radiator do you have in your car? My 65 has a 327/350 engine and runs below 180 at speed with the A/C off. I have a new DeWitt's reproduction radiator. Has your car just started running warmer? Note that 195 is not overheating, although it is warmer than most prefer. In 1966 GM even went to a different temp gauge that had a higher "redline" and a different mid-point so as to help owners understand that 10-20 degrees above 180 was not overheating. FYI, the thermostat does not control how hot your car runs, it only controls how long it takes before coolant starts flowing through the entire system.

Run water into the wiper vent on the driver's side of the car, and then see if water comes into the interior anywhere.

Also check the drains under the floor board, they can plug up.

The silver thing in the top photo normally holds a bulb and clips to the side of the cigarette lighter.

I don't recognize the second photo, but it probably is the bulb that goes to the ignition switch.

As for the capacitor at the battery gauge, the capacitor has a metal "flag" on the end which slips into either of the female connectors that go to the battery gauge.
