    Lifetime car enthusiast, previously had GTO, MG's, Porsche 912 and 911 Targa, Audi Coupe. Built dune buggy from VW back in the day. This is my first Corvette; owned since 2004. Do 100% of my own mech. work; have scanners, use of GM Tech II, lift in my garage.

    The VIN decoder was set up to work with autos manufactured since the early '80s. Some VIN numbers reveal more about the car than others. As you may know, with Corvettes, most of the detailed information comes from RPO codes, not the VIN. So, the VIN search on a Corvette just shows what would have been on a base model.

    Yes, those are options from RPOs that upgrade the base model.
