How's it going guys? my name is Will, I am 22 and from north Houston, Tx. After spending the last three years working in the oil fields, I have decided to pursue my passion of becoming a mechanic and modifying high performance vehicles. I was hoping to pick the brains of shop owners/ other mechanics and really anyone in the industry as to the best way to break into the industry. I have really started leaning towards the tuner school put on by Hennessey performance because of the proximity to me(Sealy,Tx). I want to make sure before I amass myself in that debt, that when I graduate, I will be appealing to the performance shops and other potential employers. Are there any shops that look for young aspiring technicians to train and "mold" into what they want?
Thank you for all your time and I look forward to any help or knowledge you all may have.
Regards,
Will Goglas
