Yes, I'm hoping that the '69's engine will be complete and back in the car by August 10th! Either way we will be there this year - the wife and daughter are coming this year with the son and me. I just bought a '76 father/son project that my son will drive with my wife as the passenger and I hope to drive my daughter in the '69. If not, I will either bring my DD or my wife's. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

We have to meet up for sure this year, looking forward to seeing you!

Thanks for the info was thinking about getting a big block before the GOV. bands them off the road. I grew up around big block SSs ..My brother in law went through ( are you ready )about 30 in N. Al. people would buy them a solid lifter motor will not run right if the lifters are off nobody around new how to adjust them ( He just say old big block not any good so they would almost give hem the motor out of the SS .He would sell them a small block ..and get a big block for almost free. I ask hem how many did he think he had he through for a wile about 30.. He went through his invoices and said prop. more.. He draged raced them them teal they blew put in another one in and on and on... Some were 396s some 427s there all gone now... Fun times...THANKS.

There are multiple cars in the painters shop. In front of the vette in one pix is a 33ford coupe w/blown sb chevy. Also in that same space out of range is a 57 nomad wagon,63nova deuce,69 camaro w/383. In one of the photos is a reflection of the stars and bars. the painter has a pool table that once belonged to the real GENERAL LEE. Dunno how he got it but he swears it belonged to him!!! Thanks Mark
