    Rick,
    In addition to the Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide that covers your year car, there is a Judging Reference Manual (8th edition) that has guidelines etc. Especially Sections 2/3/4 are helpful for flight judging. Section 4 has the standard deductions for paint, batteries, tires, stainless steel replacement components, etc.

    If you are wanting to take it to a regional (Kissimmee) then I would suggest that you have one of the local chapters judge the car first. That would give you a reasonable starting point as to what needs attention.

    One other thing, I WOULD NOT change something on my car that I believed to be the original configuration just because ONE judge gives you a different opinion. The manuals get rewritten because more is learned all the time. You can always post questions on the NCRS Technical Board.
