    Biography
Run-in with a train in 1965 left me with one arm, double vision and one deaf ear. Bought my first Corvette in 1977 ('69 BB 4-speed convertible) as a reward for ten years of night school to earn bachelor's degree. Wrecked it so my wife told me to get rid of it and buy another one (had to be a coupe and automatic). Still have the '72. Paint job turned into a huge project so wife told me to keep it but buy a daily driver. '87 followed me home.

Mr. Heine, I recently acquired a 1975 Corvette that was in the process of being completely restored. The interior has been totally removed and new items purchased before my acquisition. My question is; Now that I have the new seats, carpet, dash panels/ pads etc installed, where can I find a schematic or diagram to connect all the MANY wires to the guages, interior lights, controls, etc..? I am no rocket scientist, but have restored/ customized many VeeDubs. I know I am out of my league, but that is the challenge that fuels my passion. Ha! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My pleasure. You are embarking on what can be a lifelong hobby. I'm about to turn 66 and I can still remember the excitement working on my first car almost 50 years ago. Ask the questions and tear into that junkyard motor. You'll be surprised at how quickly you'll learn. You've already earned my respect. Feel free to e-mail me with questions and if I don't know the answer I'll tell you. I do this for fun, not money.
