Hi. My name is Mac. I saw your post on the Volvo shift boot and will follow suit with mine. I'm in the process of installing a Tremec 5 speed from SST. Was wondering what kit mfg you used for your conversion. Also was wondering if you had any issues regarding the shift tower clearance in the opening and also the driveshaft yoke clearance in the tunnel. I had to open up the shifter opening to the right in order to get the tranny far enough over to the right so the yoke would clear the tunnel. Wondering if you had the same challenges. My yoke just clears but the driveshaft isn't perfectly centered either - and I can't really move it more to the right.

Would you please explain what constitutes "street legal" oil?

Thanks very, very much for the info. Our garages are the same dimensions so this should all work out for me. Being I'm fairly new to this area, I haven't networked, so to speak, with too many car nuts, so the "friend" aspect is a wrench in the gears.

Tomorrow I'll be putting in blue cove lights and blue under dash lights and should get my Gorilla lock system tomorrow.

I ordered my lettering from Ecklers. I think that several vendors carry the lettering.
I am very happy with it. I did Chrome Lettering for my Crystal Red Metallic Grand Sport.
