    bought my 76 from America in 2007 and then organised to have it shipped to Australia, bit of a worry as i had not done this before and you tend to hear horror stories of cars moving whilst in the container and getting damaged. Well, all went well as as you can see and it arrived in one piece. spent 2008 doing bits and pieces to her to get it engineered and roadworthy ( unfortunately took my time in doing so) and finally got her registered in December 2008 (great Christmas Present!!)

    Hey Jim, Nice to finally have caught up with you.
    I just posted a pic of a couple of vettes I saw last Sunday LOL.

    Yeah I'll be taking "Big RED" to Keilor. Re the lightning picture,
    a good friend (DEAN) likes to "tweek" pics of things especially
    of my Vette.He'd been bugging me for ages to get some Hi Res
    shots for him to do. He's a great bloke and has a talent for this kinda thing.

    Why not join our social group Vettes Down Under on this forum.
    Just look for social groups, it was setup by OZZYTOM.
    You can even post pics,events etc. I'm always putting events etc on there.

    Hi Jim,
    I'm planning on taking the Vette to Hanging Rock,I hope the weather's gonna be alright.Accordidng to the forecast there's supposed to be storms etc,if it does rain I wont be going.
    I guess we'll have to wait and see Sunday morning. Bloody Melb weather, got soaked trying to get home over the Westgate "parking lot".
    Like I said, IF the weathers good I'll be going otherwise No.
    There's also a show & rally on the 20th at the showgrounds
    to try to get a dragstrip in melbourne. I just registered as an entrant
    so now I'm waiting for them to contact me.

    Sounds like a plan. What started as replacing my tach cable has resulted in having to rebuild the gauge pods (?) and NOW the bloody console(shifter) is being rebuilt=BUBBA & BOG.I really wanted to have her running this weekend as the wife off to Perth next week,Oh well a week of peace,so I should get it done.
