Hi Steve, my name is Tim, I live local to your shop, I have a 06 C6 base. last summer I took it to LMR and they installed LS3 motor and did their 600hp Package on it and installed a new Dewitt Radiator and their new high performance brushless fan.
They did a great job too! While driving it about 4 months later the fan just stopped, and it over heated now the right head is making like loose valves or lifter chatter! To make a long story short the fan is fixed now working fine. I won't take my C6 to just any mechanic! I would like to make an appointment to have you fix it. I would also like after it's fixed, to install a- A&A super charger. and E85 flex fuel kit. I have a Front splitter that needs to be installed and I have a- APR Performance Wing that needs to be installed to... Joe..are you mounting the pump as Alki Control recommends (i.e.mounted to a bracket (either flat strap or angle) and bolted to the original hole in the inner fender above the washer bottle)? The instructions recommend the pump be installed lower than the fill hose on the bottle to allow a gravity feed at all times.
This mounting arrangement (long term) does not seem durible because the weight of the pump appears to be supported only by the one 1/4 bolt attached to a plastic (composite) ear designed to support a wiring harness. Are you going with that arrangement or have you worked a more robust solution?
