Bought my Corvette off of a whim. They only reason i can afford this thing is because I'm in the Navy. The interior is completely stripped out including the stereo and the only thing i have left are 2 seats and the dash.

I've never replaced the opti spark, but others on the forum have. That's over priced. High performance spark plugs and wires will run you about $150 and you can do it in under an hour. You just have to make sure that the cables go back in the right order. If you've never done it before, find a friend who has to help you out. the number 8 and number 2 plugs are a bit of a pain.
I don't know about the opti-spark. There is a lot of info on the forum. Click the "seach" button at the top of the page. Do a search on Google too. There are a ton of links from where to buy one to how to install with pictures. You can do most stuff on a C4 with a basic mechanics tool set. Make sure it has Torx bits. Chevy is infamous for using them.
There's some good info on this link.

    Hey navy_vette,
Thanks for the help yesterday I just have a quick question maybe you can answer. The mechanic I brought it to is saying the opti spark / spark plugs / wires need to be replaced. They are asking 600 for parts plus 450 for labor. The parts are being ordered from a Chevy Dealer. Is this a fair price?
