    I would very strongly recommend getting the CLB, I got mine from Corvettes of Houston. The factory recall(s) have been proven unreliable at best. The only way to really ensure that your column will not lock up on you is to install the CLB. If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a PM.

    I have 2000 Vette. Been reading all info on Service column Lock. My c5 had the recall applied. Yesterday, out of the blue, I got the message. After reading all the threads, kinda confused. The local dealer said they have not seen many returns. I guess I should invest the $50 bucks for a new CLB and try ???
