Found a tool to remove receptacle. It didn't cure my problem but eliminated one of the possible problems..

    Thanks,

    Dave

I just finished off a set of BFG Rival 295/35/18 on the last track day in June. I ended up with 10 track days on those BFG Rivals. I thought there were okay and seemed to last longer that the previous set of Nitto NT05 tires. I might try some BFG R1 tires next but wil have to transport them in my Mustang.

Some guys like the Proxes R888 on their Corvettes.

I am still pondering a track day for my MT7 spd C7. I have an extra set of 18/19 wheels with the Michelin Pilot Sport Runflats that I will use. I will do the track stuff like change oil and alignment and Z51 stock pads and high temp brake fluid. Still a lot of guys overheat the C7 manual trans so I make wrap the exhaust adjacent to the trans as well.

    Hi Gary:

The last I heard at the track was that the red C7 guy had not gotten it running and was planning on getting it jump started. What do you expect from a rental C7 anyway? I have read that the auto C7s are more inclined to overheat though. There was another guy last year is an Anniversary edition blue 2014 C7 that also overheated his auto C7 on the track and had to pull off early in each session.

I noted that my Saleen Mustang started to see a rise in water temp but cooled back down to normal by the end of pit row. NO big deal. But July will be hotter I think.

I didn't think Greg (blue Mustang) had the NT01 tires? I should have noticed though. I know he is driving to and from the track on his street tires and using another set of track tires/wheels that he transports inside his Mustang.
