Hey Mike, That Vette looks beautiful. You/they did a super super job on it. My dads car is a loaded maroon with red interior. nice car as well. Real solid just as it was when new. I hear ya, the 73 is my favorite of the rubber bumpers too and I will have one some day. Just have to get the rest of the projects completed first.

    Hi Terry,
Hope things are going well for you. Here are some pics I took yesterday. It was a beautiful Fall day and with the sun low in the sky it lit up the blue of the car perfectly. I may be selling the 72 parts car in the spring after I remove some parts I think I might need for my 71 or 72. Your dad's 76 doesn't happen to be a totally loaded L82 4 speed in blue with silver leather? My older bought one when he sold his 73 to me and that would be one rubber bumper car I could go for. Yes my first car ever was a 1973 Corvette... my first bike was a 1935 Harley Flathead 750. Some things really stick with you... like wives, Vettes and Harleys.
    Take care Terry
    Mike

Sure is looking good. I was at the Dream Cruise all day Saturday with my dad who came up from Wisconsin. Also went to the Americas Corvette show in White Lake the previous Saturday which was also a great time. I put a new exhause on the 71 this year and am getting ready to put in a new 383 stroker motor I have but like you said that will probably be a Winter project for me as well. I just mated the body back on the 69 so have been neglecting the 71 other than just putz'in. My dad asked if you had any bumper cars you would like to trade for a pristeen 76 (85K original miles) but I told him that your paint job probably cost more than what his car is worth . I told him that you had a super nice 79 that he missed out on (not a bumper but still beautiful). Anyway, take care of yourself and keep in touch Mike.

    Hey Terry,
Here's where I am on the 72. Not as far as I wanted to be by now... as I'm sure you know! We've been out on the Harley for close to 10,000 miles this year and just got back from Dream Cruise so I've been having a lot of fun. I'll save the 72 for the winter.LOL I think I'm going to put a Keisler 5 speed in it.
    Take care
    Mike

The car is at the painter shop now. Should be done in 4-5 weeks. Then back home for assembly.

    Hi Terry,
How's it going? Pretty freakin' cold here in MI isn't it? I'm going to Mexico for a week to thaw out! Just wanted to let you know that my paint supplier has the original master color chip pages from the 60' - 70' including GM/Corvette. "Our" paint match is almost dead on to 1972 Briar Blue Poly #2434. I'm using the custom formula I had them do for me because I like the pop it has. Anyway just thought you'd like to know.
    Have a great day!

I'll keep you posted on the parts car. Or... if you want to get started on your tube frame project I'll give you the car plus cash for your blue one.
