Hi - here's a link to a thread with info about running at Daytona:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/auto...with-audi.html
The first post has info about the Audi event Dec 4-6. It's expensive, but it's a 3-day event and the only one that is open to anybody - you don't need to have any track experience at all, as they have a couple novice run groups for drivers with little or no track time.
If you scroll down a bit to post# 16 there's info about a PBOC event on Oct 23-24, although there's racing all 3 days, the driver education event is only on the 24th and 25th. They say no novice drivers.
PCA is running an event this weekend. It's similar to the PBOC event in that they will have club racing sessions along with DE sessions. They say advanced track drivers only for the DE. You can sign up for either all 3 days or just Sat/Sun. I don't know whether you could still into that event this late or not.
Come on down to Daytona this weekend and visit. You should be able to come in through Gate 40 (off Williamson on the west end of the track closest to I-95). I think you'll just sign a waiver (tell them you're pit crew for the #0 Corvette if necessary) and drive through the tunnel under NASCAR Turn 1 and park in the infield. You can wander into the garage area and look at all the great cars and yak with us driving the event. I don't know what garage# I'll be in, but look for the DSOM Z06.
Give me a call if you have any questions about coming this weekend to watch or about running any of the events.
