Hey Junkman, You're on the wrong Forum. Don't you hang out at Digital Corvettes? (grin)

    Hi A.J. -
Just read your post on brake caliper painting. Have not laughed that hard for a long time.

I'm semi-mechanic inclined...meaning that any mechanic work I take on costs me 5x as much and takes 3x as long as it should have. I've been contemplating doing the caliper paint job for sometime and after reading your post it might be fun, if for no other reason so that others can laugh at me when I'm done.

Thanks for all the detail and especially for the sense of humor,
    Mike

    AJ.

I got to tell you that everytime I read your thread on painting your brake calipers I laugh my ass off!!! It has to be one of the best posts that I have read. Your instructions are so well documented with a little bit of, "been their, done that" attitude that you give all of us DIY'ers a leg to stand on. I too like to do my own mods, 1) to see if I can really do this? and 2) why not save the money and feel satisfied doing this yourself. Hell, I just might go into the garage this weekend and repaint my calipers and dedicate it to you?

Great post and keep up the good work!!!! I'll keep you posted on how I did?

    Mike

Hi A.J. ....If you are still reading these messages drop me a PM. I want to talk to you about getting rid of the 'orange peel' on my vette. I figure you are a good place to start asking questions.

Hi AJ, dont know what is the problem in the US forums?! As far as Germany is concerned, I provoked to be banned Sunday night after complaining that the German forum owner (who doesn´t even own a Corvette) acts like a dictator (which is not surprising as he grew up in former East Germany...). I think the hardcore Vettefans are missing your posts on both sides of the atlantic. But while you are still reading here, in Germany you are even forbidden to read, once you are banned from a forum... (dont put a "welpen" on the pizza!)
