Thanks for your input UNCLEBILL. Sorry for the noob question, what does SOTP mean? I read that post bye the frenchyoliver & a few others about the 3.07's thats why I'm leaning towards the 3.07's. The thing is, i'm not wanting to make my corvette 1/4 mile machine. I would like more acceleration, but i dont want to be tacked out at 130 mph. I live in Montana, one of the only places in the USA that @ one time didn't have a speed limit. Interstates now are 75mph. I want my car to still be able to cruise at 100-130, if was to going drive down to California, thru the desolate deserts of Nevada. Which i do a couple times a year to see family. I have a Buddy who is ASE certified mechanic he told me to go with 3.42's he said his camaro he had with those gears top out at 158mph. That's plenty fast. I also don't want to give up a lot of gas mileage on the highway. My feet are sometimes leaded too. What is your top speed and what is the highest cruising speed you can run without absolutely killing mileage. I will look into the 3.54's. The guys at TPIS told me that if i went to a 3 series gear, i would think i put a better motor in the car.
