    Hey Charlie, hows that 398 torque monster running for you? Haven't talked in a while, just thought I would see how both the car and you are doing. I cracked the 9.70's up here.

    Hey, funny thing... the old "Vadered" term followed a bunch of folks over to The Vette Barn forum, and it made me think what you were up to. Working world, Tullahoma... did you get to work with the hypersonic folks at MicroCraft, or...?

    Added you as a friend some time ago Vader... I understand you probably get a lot of requests. You seem like a fountain on knowledge on Corvettes. Have a good day bud.

    I just bought my first vette, its and 85, I have just spent and hour reading your page and im ready to start pulling stuff off. Where should I start? I would like to have a 11-12 second car. I have no idea what it currently runs. It has 68000 miles and pulls pretty good. Im not really looking to add NOS. I would like it to be straight motor HP. Im not really worried about the money.. I just want a good strong,quick car. Thanks for a;; your info.

    Thanks for the info. Here in Texas is always hot so I want my Corvette to run cooler. Just need to know how do I reset the fan?

    Vader- I just posted this & would welcome your thoughts:
    http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...-sideways.html

    Whenever I shift or apply throttle on my 1996 CE/LT4 6 speed coupe, the rear end scoots to one side and then corrects back to center. This is more pronounced above 60 mph and is occurring even after installing new:

    rear differential, positraction, bearings & yokes;

    drive shaft u joints;

    ZFdoc C Beam beam plates;

    Dennys half shafts w/ u joints;

    rear spring, QA1 shocks & Baniski trailing arm; and

    rear wheel bearings.

    I'm to understand that this can ocurr if your C Beam is loose, but mine should be tight as a drum.
    Any thoughts??

    Vader: I gotta tell you, your posts and web site are probably the main reason I came to the CF in the first place. You're informative, and you certainly don't mince words. In fact, wife #3 who hailed from El Paso would probably say "ah, he's gotta be from Texas." And by Texas, she's talking about West Texas. To her, East Texas doesn't exist: East Texas is really West Louisiana.

    I checked out your web-page and it is full of good information. My best run at the track was 15.66 until last Tuesday when I ran a 14.88. I put on a new free-flow cat, cut the air filter lid and remover the screens in the MAF sensor. I have an adjustable fuel presure regulator would it help to install it and up the fuel preasure to add fuel along with the added air. Also should I consider nitrous oxide?

    Again thanks for your great web-page.
