Funny, the first thing I had the seller do when I picked up the '69 was to help me swap the L88 hood for the orig hood. I had kept the orig hood in my basement since bringing it to OH in mid-2005... hadn't ever really looked at the hood that closely. I'm glad you are getting to enjoy the car. I'm driving the '80 much more now this spring. Best thing for them is to drive them Ted H

Hi ted, Ive been out cruising a bit, Havent had bill do the frame rail, yet. I did swap out the hood, did you notice any[small] spider to the passenger side over the air filter? I know I was careful not to leave a socket when I did the heater core, and all hoses. Nonetheless I love the car, probably just change the rear gear set for more highway cruising. good to hear from you. Ill keep in touch, Gary V.

    Hi Gary,
How's the C3 coming along? Did your friend ever address the dented frame rail? Did you freshen the drivetrain? I recall you thought the trans may have indicated need for attention. I've been getting my C3 out for some spring cleaning and driving. Cold here (40's) but with the top on and windows up (couple days, drove with the tops off) it is bearable. Hoping for warmer days ahead.

    Hi Gary,

I suspected the heater core was starting to go... sometimes, I got telltale 'steam' wafting through the heater vents. And, there was the faint scent of coolant. Sounds like a good project. I've been enjoying the '80 alot more since selling the '69. The '80 had sat alot since I often chose to drive the '69 (easy decision). Also, have a few projects to do on the '80 once I find another job (lay-off from IBM after 12 years at end of April).

    Ted
