Hey Chris, glad to hear you are doing well. If I were you I might wait and see if the C7 comes out next year, but then you have to decide if you want the first year rune of a new series and deal with the probable "market adjustment" that most dealers will ask for the first year.

    However, I'll try to answer your questions;

    1. No you cannot keep the Corvette exhaust. You have to go with the double "D". The sound is great and the drone is not bad.

    2. You only here the blower when you are in the gas.

    3. Thankfully, I have not had any issues.

    4. For regular service you can go to any local dealer. In theory, if you are having any Callaway component issues the Callaway engineers will work with your local dealers people to fix the problem. However, I have no first hand knowledge on how well that works.

    5. To be honest I never kept track of the gas mileage, but I don't think it is much worse than stock unless you really get in the gas a lot.

    6. I don't like the louvered hood either. I went with the C16 hood and have not had any heat issues or unusual oil consumption.

    7. I really don't have anything I don't like about my Callaway. I would get the basic package and the only thing I would add extra is the C16 hood, chrome blower and exhaust slats. The rest of the options are way overpriced in my opinion. If you get a M6 you might consider the short throw shifter. It is fairly reasonably priced.

Lastly, it's kind of a long story, but I had my wheels stolen off the car while it was at Callaway and was not pleased with their reaction to the issue. They replaced the wheels and I'm told they increased their security at the "factory", but again I did not care for their attitude. I will probably not get another Callaway, but it has nothing to do with their product. I found Reeves Callaway to be a obnoxious jerk and for that reason I would not give hime any more of my money.

However, that was my personal dealing with him and I can't complain about the product. If you have any other specific questions I will be happy to answer them and give you any advice I can.

    Take care...

    Regards, Tim

    Hi Tim,
it's been awhile...I'm ready to buy my next Corvette and wanted to ask you a few questions. First off, I've been looking at ZR1's but the price is killing me. I could purchase one, but for me, it's a lot of money tied up into a car. Then I was looking at Z06's, love the performance, but not crazy about the way it looks. Kind of plain looking to me.

I loved my GS, it rode great, handled, and I think it's the best looking C6 on the market. So I started thinking of the Callaway GS 606 and remembered you have one.

    So here are my questions:

Can you keep the NPP option? If not, is there a drone noise when on the highway? Overall, how do you like the Callaway Exhaust?
Does the engine make a wining sound when idling?
    Have you had any issues?
I don't have a Callaway Dealership near me, so if I had a problem with my car, could my local GM dealer work on the car?
What kind of gas mileage are you getting, Highway and city?
Do you have engine high temp issues, excessive oil consumption?
If I get one, I will order the C16 hood, not crazy about the louvered one..Do you know if there are over heating issues with that hood?
If you could give me a heads up with the things you don't like, I'd appreciate it.
If you were to do it over again, would you buy a Callaway or something else?

    Thanks Chris
