  • About AustinJohn

    Austin Texas
    Occupation
    Inveterate tinkerer
    Year & Model
    1985 (Lingenfelter) and 1994 Coupes

    Black and Torch Red
    Mods
Putting the '94 back the way it rolled out of Bowling Green as fast as I can (which takes a little longer for someone who was already past 50 when this car was built!)
    Biography
If it has wheels, I gotta tinker with it. From a '60 Bugeye Sprite to a '31 Ford hook and ladder, an AMC Sportabout with a Vette engine and sidepipes, a Mazda Protege with a Garrett T3, riding Route 66 on my '81 Honda Nighthawk (now that was a great bike!), to a '29 Chevy stakebed truck to my '94 hatchback, I love to take 'em apart and put 'em back together again.

No, Terry, I don't have one or know of anyone who does. On the other hand back when I was concerned about my '85 ECM several posters said there were folks who tested them and not too expensively. I believe I did a web search and found one or two firms. Good luck and thanks for your offer. John

How you doing, John? I have been having issues with code 43 on my 92 lately and was wondering if you had a spare ECM (part number 16159278) for test purposes or know anyone locally that might have one. Just so you know. I have a working ICM and ignition coil for testing if you ever need them.
    Thanks,
