I still fish, only about half the year though, I don't need the money any more but I miss the excitement. I sold the big house, kids gone and all that. We've been looking at places to retire or at least we were supposed to look for places to retire and to that end we started traveling about 6 years ago. As it would turn out we have a taste for it so we've remained homeless and continue to travel. I sold my last Corvette at the end of 12 because I couldn't find any heated indoor storage for a car with a stick. I've been away from them since then, this forum for longer. I'm driving a Panamera right now, makes for a useful yet genuinely fun only car. We've been talking about actually settling down somewhere which is what brought me here although I'm not quite feeling the kind of lust that gets me to buy in on C8 just yet. Excellent numbers and I think it's going to be a great car but I feel a little like I've gone past Corvettes nowadays.

I left here before I sold my last Corvette; now I remember why when I peruse the C8 threads. I've been over in Porsche land for a while now and returned to get more information about C8, I'm doubtful about hanging around too long but thought I'd say hello!

Hi Jim, I PMed as I did not want to put my buddies cars issues on the forum, but these are my experiences. My 09 has been in at least 6 times for issues like replacing the radio twice, ball joint not fully seated, door switches nothing terrible but my friends 2010 GS just had a fuel pump put in, another friends 2011 has issues with ABS, TC, lighting up on the dash, another guy with a 2012 had to get a TPMS replaced. Other than the fuel pump, pretty minor but these are all cars with under 5K miles on them. We all love the cars but in my little world, quality is lacking, maybe they are to complex?

gotcha, we looked for houses in that area when we were buying. Found a few but got a better deal on a new built home so decided to leave the Seabrook area and move to League City.
