    Aaron,
The 434 had oil probs, low pressure and smoke from the tail pipe. Turns out the shop the did much of the work did a poor job. Main bearings are toast, the valve seals came off the stem and rode up the valve, lifter bores were not finished (a few lifters had to be pounded out), injector bungs are crooked and fuel rail hold down...doesn't hold'em down. and few other things. I am just going back to the 23 degree headed 408 with an Edelbrock "E" single plane in place of the miniram and putting the AC back in.

The 408 is a quick cheap fix at this point to just get back to driving it and having fun. I will redo the 434 over time. And likely shrink it to a 421.

    Thanks for asking, Aaron!

    Steve,
What are you doing with the 434 build? Quite a while back, I followed your build, as you used the same top end that I had used on one of my blower builds. I read now that you are buyilding a more tame combo. What did you do with the 434?

    Thanks,
    Aaron
