    Hi Jim
I cant tell you what the power is as its never been dyno.d.. But I would estimate it to be around 425 hp? I know the car has more potential but I am hesitant in changing stuff just to see if I can get to the 11 second bracket.. btw the elevation I am running is 2400ft.

The car does hook well with the MT Dr @ 17 pounds air.
while I am considering the flywheel.clutch means the motor has to come out..
So I may be where it is and accept that.. I always have the Z06 to run as well which I may do in the near future before I grow to damn old to do it.. the reality of it.. Roger

    Hi Jim
getting back to you on the schiefer flywheel.. its a 2208 made in the late 60's.

I ran this back in the day in a 64 nova with perfection american clutches that didnt last.

I need to keep a softer pedal pressure without having to go to a hydraulic setup.

reading comments on pro/cons on changing to this flywheel has me wondering if that is something I should do??
    your thoughts.

many thanks btw on your comments..

    Roger

    Hi Jim

what are your thoughts on light weight flywheels in my 1960..

I changed out my 2006 Z06 years ago and that flywheel is aluminum..

I do have a 7 pd shieffer wheel from the old days.. thanks again for your help..

Jim, Did the 4" Block thing on the 62 and wonder what you did to allow the connecting rod to align with the steering box without too much tension. It will go but not the way it should be.

    Thanks, Skip

Hello Jim, You said to let you know when I need some "nice" used parts so here is my list for now.

    Both outer tail lights
    R window regulator
    R door handle
    Lower R eyebrow
Upper L eyebrow (I have but needs plating..if I can get a "nice " one I can compare plating cost.

This is a driver so "perfect" is not an issue.

If you have any, let me know cost

    Best, Skip
