No I'm making one. Gone through several models on paper and in my mind. Time to make test patterns.
This will not be a flat bottom splitter, but will have two two venturi chambers. Made of an aluminum exterior ring and in attachment area pattern for strength and durability with 1/2' thick plastic corregated composite, polyfoam filler for strength and lightness, covered in double thickness cloth glass like carbon fiber, but using polyester resins. Why?

Are you literally "..making a 4" splitter" or having one made? Asking because I have just made a test model for my C4. On track tests went great, so I am ready to make a better one. Test model is 3 layers and want to have only 1 layer. Trying to decide what to make it out of. HDPE (High Density Poly Ethelene) seems most highly recommended. Any thoughts you have on material and method of making would be appreciated. You can respond to eogel@nc.rr.com.
    Thanks,
    Ed
