To remove the fuse box, just remove the bolt in the middle and seperate. It may be stuck together due to all the sealant they used in the factory. I then used sheet metal to close up the old hole and mounted my new box on the l/fender.
Keep all the factory ends and get a pin point torch for soldering. All connections must be soldered and sealed with 3M quality shrink tube. Don't forget to put the shrink tube on before you solder.
Lay the harness out and run all wires before cutting and soldering. You don't want to come up short.
Let me know if I can be of further help and enjoy the project!

Stupid question; I just bought a 18 circuit painless wiring harness, I have almost all the wires disconnected from the original harness, but I need to remove the fusebox, what is the easiest way to remove the old fusebox? Have a write up, any good photos, or words of advice on the painless harness install?

    Thank You,

This is whatis on the pistons themselves. 05-355-15-C They are Flat Top and model number is L2399F 030. I'm not sure what chanber volume they displace but my engine builder calculated the 10:1 comp.
Here is what I have for the motor #'s:
