About Me

  • About LDB
    Location
    Houston Tx
    Occupation
Retired refining engineer, now trying to keep everybody honest on fuels and lubes issues.
    Year & Model
    2011 CTSV Coupe
    Color
    Red, with light gray interior
    Mods
None, unless you count the M6's skip shift eliminator. As of 2023, it only has 50,000 miles and has given 12 years of trouble free service (knock on wood), and it doesn't look like everything else out there, so why trade?
    Biography
Had 3 Vette daily drivers (C4,5,6) totaling nearly 200,000 miles from 1991-2010. Really liked them, but grew tired of road/tire noise and ride harshness. CTSV offers Vette-type performance and heritage in smoother package. For a pure fun car I placed a deposit on a Morgan in 2021. After many regulatory delays, I may finally get one late this year. See avatar or morgan-motor.com if you wonder what a Morgan is. Think late 1930’s visual heritage with modern underpinnings but no frills.

I didn't find any Caddy forums that I really like, which is why I stuck with the Corvette forum even after going from Corvettes to my "Caddy-Vette" CTSV. The one I disliked the least was CTSVowners.com. Another one that sometimes has useful GM news, but isn't a forum per se, is GMinsidenews.com.

What forum do you use for Cadillac?
