    Hi Michael,

Well, MY (new-to-me) '69 L46 coupe is waiting for me in Rotterdam. Very excited!

Let me ask you, is there a list somewhere of what one needs to do in order to satisfy the inspection by the RDW for importing purposes?
For instance, is it "a given" that the 4 headlamps need to be replaced by some with an "E" mark? And I suppose the old tires need to be replaced. Do you know what else usually needs to be done to make the RDW happy besides the standard issues for an APK?

You don't think they require seeing the VIN number on the actual chassis, do you? I mean, the riveted plate on the A-pillar should suffice, right?

    Thanks, again,
    Steve, in Weesp

    Hi Michael,
I'm an American living in Weesp (east of Amsterdam).
I'm trying to figure out how difficult it is to own/operate/maintain a C3 in the NLs. That is because I am dying to get one, but wonder if it would end up being a mistake.
I have a slight advantage in that I visit the USA every holiday season. Still, I'd rather purchase a car more locally for obvious reasons.
    Let me ask you:
    - is it prohibitively difficult to own/operate/maintain a C3 in NL? I'm pretty good with a wrench and own a pretty good "hobby plek"/garage/man-cave for cars and bikes. This is mainly a question about C3 parts availability in NL.
    - is it best to buy in NL, in Europe or in USA?

Thanks for any help you can offer - I can't wait to start my Corvette adventure!
    Met vriendelijke groet,
    Steve
