That Monte Carlo you have is beyond cool to me! When the 1983 SSs first came out my buddy’s parents bought a white w/blue (the only other option was blue w/white, which I liked a little better). I was 13 at the time, and always thought those cars would make a great hot rod. The crappy 305s were junk, but I see you’ve absolutely knocked it outta the park with an LS7! So badass! One of my fantasy builds… great job!

Thanks Rob for the generous feedback! The short block has about 18K miles on it and I've only put several hundred miles on the solid roller set-up so it hasn't required any valve lash adjustment yet. I don't imagine that it'll need much even with a lot of miles.

Had a question for you regarding your solid roller LS7 which by the way is an awesome build! I listened to your idle video on youtube quite a few times, that thing sounds so nasty!

How many miles do you currently have on your stock bottom end since you built that monster and how often have you been checking your lash? I have a low lash solid roller setup which probably won't need as much adjustment as yours but i was just curious as to how often you check it....
