    Tom,
    I am restoring a 71 C-3 I have rebuilt all calipers, new porportioning valve, Power brake conversion kit, and new hoses. The brakes seem to be fine but after about 4 or 5 miles they lock down on the rear to the point the car will not move. You have to open a rear bleeder and it is ok for a few more miles. Then same problem any suggestions?

    I read your post on bleeding the brakes on a C3 several months ago, and printed it for future reference-VERY informative. I do have one question, though. I am in the process of restoring the brake system on my '70 coupe, which has been sitting dry for a LONG time. I have new Duntov calipers inbound, and a new master cylinder, which has been bench bled. I intend on using the "pedal" method you mentioned. I learned from your post that the order in which you bleed the calipers is not important, but make sure I bleed the half closest to the brake line first. And, if I understand correctly, with the proportioning valves on the C3's, I should do two calipers at a time, one front and one back, then the other front and back. Is this correct, and is there anything else I should know? Thanks again for your help, Taz
