Default Corvette Convertible/Coupe Dealer Allocations

2005 CORVETTE

Corvette convertible production is expected to start in November and will, although constrained, be a part of the current consensus volume (approximately 1/3). Because the convertible will be in "ramp up" mode, initial orders will be limited with respect to the number of power folding tops (CM7) and also to available top colors.

In an effort to reduce possible confusion related to these initial constraints, each of the weekly DOSP cycles will be exclusive to either coupe or convertible models. As a result, the next two weekly DOSP cycles will be convertibles only, followed by cycles of coupe only. We believe that this will enable dealers to better manage their preliminary orders.

As the volume of convertible production increases and constraints are relaxed, we expect to return to more normal DOSP cycles.
