Default New to 'vettes and "Corvette Training Days"

I just recently purchased a very cool red '94 LT1 targa top in pristeen condition with only 43K miles. I've always wanted a Corvette, but just now pulled the trigger on my first. There is so much to learn! I have a few questions for you guys:

1) Will putting your 'vette on the track for "Corvette Training" void manufacturer's warranty for the drivetrain? Any awareness of legal precedents on the subject?

2) What about insurance? Will insurance cover collision/liability damage if you blow out a tire and bump into something while out on the track?

3) I also own an '04 XLR which (as you guys know) are very new on the scene. There are not really enough of them to have our own local clubs as yet. Do 'vette events welcome XLRs?
