In speaking with many of my customers from California the dealers are marking up GMPP as much as triple retail and as little as double retail because they know you can't buy from anyone outside the state. A customer of mine that called me and asked for RETAIL GMPP price for a plan of which it was $2,000 then called 4 GM dealers in his area and the best price he got was $4,995 so needless to say they do not want to sell GMPP plans to anyone.

I have a new product coming and will be set up on March 11th and 12th and I can sell it in California so hopefully you have that long to wait. Drop me your VIN and exact miles to dfichtner@fichtnerchevrolet.com and I will send you a quote on March 12th or 13th at the latest!!

Dennis... Since I live in California, please keep me in the loop on this "new product coming." I have placed an order for a new C7 through a local dealer and am waiting for the dealer to get the allocation. My current C6, which I was able to get the GMPP through you in 2009, is due to expire in September. If I keep my C6, I want to extend the GMPP. If I get the C7, I would be very interested in this new product.

This is especially important if you are buying a GMPP with a deductible. Your original no-deductible warranty will be superseded by the new deductible GMPP
Dennis agrees that I was correct. Best bang for the buck is just BEFORE 12mo/12,000mi runs out to buy the original GMPP.

It is different when you are buying the original plan when the car is still under the original factory warranty(36/36)
OK, gotcha on my 2nd GMPP. I understand that.

But now back to the guy asking if the best time to buy his first GMPP would be at the 12 month/12000 mile point.. That doesn't seem to make sense to me.. Why wouldn't you wait until the 36 month/36000 mile point??
THAT seems to make the most sense to me...
I don't understand buying an 84 month plan when he has 24 months left on his Origional warranty. SO it sounds like he's paying for 84 months but only getting 60.. I'm just not getting that. Explain that to me please..

That is right, he is buying an 84 month plan but getting 60 months of coverage when his original warranty if over. He is paying approximately $1,600 now for the 84 month plan and if he waits 24 more months he will have had minimum two price increases and to by a 60 month plan, even low mileage will run approximately $2,000 and up so why not save $400 even if he is overlapping.

Also rental car allowance with a GMPP is 2.5 labor hours and with the GM base warranty you have to have a repair of 8.5 labor hours to get a rental car so there are some benefits to having it now.

I have a quote on a GMPP Major Guard
36/24 with $100 deductible $1,495
36/24 with $000 deductible $1,550

Is this the best plan available, my 3 year 36k is up 4/4/14

Thanks,
Mike

Hard to comment on your post due to the fact I don't know what you own for a vehicle as far as year, miles, etc.

We are not allowed to post prices in the forum so if you want a price quote from me send me your VIN, Miles, State of Residence to dfichtner@fichtnerchevrolet.com

Dennis, thank you for setting me up with GMPP yesterday, I think you saved me $600 over what my local dealer wanted
