I know this is a bit off topic for the Corvette Forum, but you are a Chevrolet dealer so here goes: I've been quite interested in the Trailblazer SS for my family and winter vehicle. Having driven one, OH YES, I LOVE IT!! However, I am a bit concerned as many are these days about fuel economy, thats why I drive the Z06 every day, and the Trailblazer is a bit short in that department, no doubt partially due to the 4.10 rear gear. My question, finally, is since there is finally a 6 speed Auto in the C6, have you heard anything to indicate a 6 speed Auto in the SS's future? That, and displacement on demand, would undoubtably improve the Trailblazer SS's fuel economy to the low 20's from the present 17mpg. I would much rather wait and buy next year if that is the case. Thank you for any input or information you could provide.

Great question and thanks for posting!

I haven't received any information on the changes for the 2007 Trailblazer. However, I would advise that you wait a few months for this information. The start of production is not that far away and waiting might be worth it.

I am not sure about the 6 speed auto, Such is not offered in any of our trucks yet. If it was to be offered I would imagine that we would have seen it in the new Tahoe and Suburban. Displacement on demand is much more of a reality.

Have a great weekend,
