Museum delivery in March. Driving to the west coast and no time constraints. Looking for suggestions of places to see or events to attend.
Took the three day Spring Mountain driving course last May. Will see if I can get a one day refresher, OR attend other schools. Would like to visit car and plane museums, Corvette functions,,,,
U.S Space and Rocket Center is going to be about 175 miles south straight down I-65 then exit onto I-565. From there you can continue down I-65 to Birmingham then West to Tuscaloosa to the Bear Bryant Museum....may have his car or plane there.. :-)

I agree the 'US Space and Rocket Center" is worth the trip.
Nashville is south about 50 miles. We're currently hosting the SEC bb tournamant downtown at the GEC. There are good resturants downtown, Country Music Hall of Fame, Lane Auto Museum, Opry Mills is further east, then, further south is BRENTWOOD, home of...... ME I usually hang at a downtown resturant called South Street. Its an openaire beer and beef steak place, two stories with a tree growing through the middle, on, you got it, South Street, near the Vanderbilt community. Good luck.
Lots to see in Nashville. Grand Ole Opry, OpryLand (!), The Hermitage (Andrew Jackson's home), a number of Civil War battlefields in the area, drive down to Lynchburgh TN and tour the Jack Daniels Distillery, Graceland in Memphis.

and it's on the way to Huntsville!! either way "HEAD SOUTH"!!!
If you head north, check out the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson AFB in Fairborn OH ( a little southwest of Dayton) . It is the most awsome aircraft museum you will ever see....I think it is much better than the Smithsonian Air & Space. It will take most of the day to see it all.
I would strongly suggest the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum in Fairborn (Dayton) OHIO. I have been there MANY times and it knocks the socks off of the Smithsonian.
The only other museum I have been to that comes close to the Air Force Museum in Fairborn is a flying museum in Duxford England. (A bit tough to drive a new Vette to.)
Good Luck and have a great time with your new Vette!!
