I just got one of these as a rental, brand spanking new.
It's a bit weird, but I have to say, I kind of like it. Interesting set of features, roomy, comfortable and drives pretty good.
I'm not in the market for one, but was kind of curious how Chevy is doing with these? Can see it being a pretty darn good all around family wagon. Rear seat room is especially generous.
An odd design to be sure. But once the weirdness wears off, it seems to show some genuine thought to design and practical utility.
The Maxx is a great model and it appears to be selling just fine.

When I'm not selling Corvettes, I enjoy spending time with my wife Kathy and our children and new granddaughter!
Go look it up on the Chevy website, it's a variant of the Chevy Malibu.
I had a rental from Hertz a couple of weeks ago. Somewhat odd car, but it really grows on you. I have to say, I liked it a lot once I got used to it. Lot of good, practical thinking there. Would make a great daily driver or family wagon.
Location: the GOCC are everywhere, even back from "band camp"
My wife and I test drove one three separate times before buying ours. Thr front end is nice standard Malibu, but the back half is great. She loves all the features, adjustable rear seats, rear seat moonroof and DVD player, with the most back seat leg room of any car we own. Lots of room in the hatch area too. True it is a little odd looking, seems Americans are not fond of 4 door hatchbacks, so I tend to just think of it as a "long roof". It is the first 4 door I have ever owned intentionally, but we do love it. Ours is black, it really looks sharp, and several people have asked what it is (we removed all the trim tags). If you need a family car I suggest looking at one of these. The odd thing is, we didn't buy ours until after our son joined the service; a point not lost on him.

We also have a Black Malibu Maxx. It is our daughter's car. It rides great, it is based on the Saab chassis. The back seat reclines and there is a back seat sun roof. It also has a remote starter.
