Default Corvette Production Weekly Constraints – 2/16/06

This information will also be included in my weekly newsletter under the topic, Kens Newsletters.

Weekly Constraint/Production News - UPDATED

Constraints are distributed based on Available Days’ Supply (ADS), Controlled Method or Percent of Allocation (POA). Dealers can use the weekly constraint wire to see the basic availability of an option. The percentages on the weekly constraint wire are estimated based on the national retail number of the constrained option divided by the amount of retail orders being allocated for the week.

Chevrolet Constraint Wire for 2/16/06

2006 CORVETTE

01145, QX3 Chromed Wheels, 35

Orders approved this week will be produced the week of 3/13/06 – 3/19/06

2006 CORVETTE Z06

00602 Corvette Z06 QL9 Polished Wheels, 0
This option is being constrained based upon supplier capacity.

Orders approved this week will be produced the week of 3/13/06 – 3/19/06

It appears that we will finally see the GM Chrome Wheel according to Fitchner.

Default Qx3

Great to see QX3 coming free. I have an order in, but dealer did not have an allocation this week. Next week they have two.

Question: On a highly constrained option like QX3 how are they allocated to dealers ? Is it first come first server to dealers that exercise their allocation ? From what I understand they can do this on Thursday. If it is first come, what time does GM open the order line ? (i.e. when should I bug my dealer ?)

I expect to get a TPW next Thursday and I'm wondering if I should chg my order to add the chromed wheels. For $2000, they had better be sparkling silver! I still think I can take the std wheel and buy aftermarket chromed OEM wheels for half the price! Big debate....

Default weekly builds with Z51 option per week

Hi Ken,
Could you give a guess on how many Vette's are built weekly with the Z51 option PKG, and what is your guess on how many more they will build for the rest of the model run of 2006
