"I noticed that someone mention on this forum there is a 2 week quality inspection waiting period for the NCM delivery. Does this waiting period apply to dealer delivery?"
Museum Delivery:
I cannot answer for the museum but my experience has been that deliveries are normally scheduled a couple of weeks after the car has been produced. There is necessary for a couple of reasons: 1) There are other cars waiting for delivery already, 2) The museum needs time to return cars to the plant if there is a need to do so for any issues, 3) The selling dealer needs time to get the paperwork to the customer, receive it back signed and with the final payment. The museum will not allow a delivery to occur until the paperwork is done and the vehicle has been paid for.
Dealer Delivery:
Once cars have passed final inspection it is up to the carrier to deliver them to the ship to dealers. Often times this takes a few days as the carrier is not going to ship until they have a full truckload. I have received new Corvettes in less than a week from the build date and yet others have taken a month!
