More details:
Upgrade your 1997-2002 F45 equipped Corvette with the F55 suspension system. The resulting uncompromised comfort and handling with redesigned jounce bumper for superior wheel control and large impact feel, and automatic and independent adjustment of rebound and compression damping loads are a perfect upgrade to your C5 Corvette. MagneRide shock absorbers utilize state of the art magnetorheological (MR) fluid, which is a complex, synthetic - hydrocarbon - based liquid having somewhere between 20% and 40% (by volume) Carbony Iron Particles (97% - 99% iron) to offer excellent electromagnetic properties. The flow characteristics (rheology) change when subjucted to a direct-current - magnetic field stregth. The MagneRide controller is a powerful dual-processor device which is capable of making 1000 adjustments per second in each of the car's four shocks. The controller receives each wheel movement in the vehicle via position sensors and according to the wheel movement data, the controller will determine the vehicle body motions (pich, roll, and lift). Utilizing the two mode F45 center console switch, in (tour) mode, the controller emphasizes the driver comfort, while in (sport) mode the road feel and steering response will be maximized. This upgrade kit utilizes the existing F45 wheel position sensors, driver select switch, and main suspension system wiring harness.

When I'm not selling Corvettes, I enjoy spending time with my wife Kathy and our children and new granddaughter!
The kit has just come available thru GM and we have not sold any yet. Delphi, who makes the kit has given some away at functions at the Corvette Museum, but don't know the people who won them. What you need to do is talk to people who have driven corvettes with the F45 and the F55 system. Ken Fichtner has had both systems on his cars and would give you an unbiased feedback if you email him at kenfichtner@fichtnerchevrolet.com . The other way would be to find someone in your local Corvette club who has had both systems. If you have any specific questions give me a call at 800-234-5284 or email me at parts@fichtnerchevrolet.com
I have the F-55 suspension and have nothing bad to say about it. It performs like it

suppose to. I can definitely tell the difference and feeling in the cars handling between the two different modes. In tour mode it is very comfortable and this is most of the time I drive the car this way. But If I need a little more control for the turns just switch it to sport you have 2 choices here which is great. I am very happy with the F-55 suspension
