On the: GET UP TO FOUR MONTHS ON US plan, are they just waiving the payment or are they actually making the payment for you?

i.e. is this just a "No payments or interest until X" deal.

Hey Rick,
Thanks for stopping by and reading the news! Any relief and assistance with the over 500 emails and phone calls I get every day from folks needing advice and assistance is most appreciated. Unlike you "big boys" I spend more time helping others than actually selling Corvettes 'cause we don't get the number of allocations that you get.

cerino,
Thanks for your post and your question.

The program reads:
1. GM/GMAC WILL WAIVE THE FIRST MONTHLY PAYMENT UP TO A MAXIMUM OF $1000.
or
2. GM/GMAC WILL WAIVE THE FIRST TWO MONTHLY PAYMENTS UP TO A MAXIMUM OF $2000.
or
3. GM/GMAC WILL WAIVE THE FIRST THREE MONTHLY PAYMENTS UP TO A MAXIMUM OF $3000.
or
4. GM/GMAC WILL WAIVE THE FIRST FOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS UP TO A MAXIMUM OF $4000.

This program is basically a rebate to cover up to 4 payments up to a maximum of $4000. This is not a pay it later type of program.

Please realize that I am simply notifying everyone of the existence of this program. I am not promising that everyone qualifies. This is a private mailer and only the recipients qualify.

Have a successful day,
Ken Fichtner

I used one of those certificates to buy my Corvette last April. It was a GMAC/GM Card promo. Within 30 days, GMAC/GM Card actually made the first two payments, thus reducing the principal owed on the loan. I used their automated system to verify their payment and my new balance. I didn't write a check to GMAC until July. Worked great for me!

Default Incentives

If I read all of this mumbo jumbo correctly, a fellow like me who has a vert on order and is paying cash can expect no rebate or cash incentives whatsoever on any type of Corvette purchase. Is that correct - GM is basically rewarding those customers taking advantage of the leasing and financing side of GMAC's business transactions on cars other than Corvettes. No problem if true - as they can set the terms of how they want to do business.

Is this interpretation correct? Thanks, Dave.

DaVeed,
If you take delivery of your new Convertible on or before May 31, 2005 you are entitled to a $1000 rebate whether you pay cash or finance. The hot button $1000 incentive applies to Corvettes and does not require financing with GMAC!

Ken I think that guy may also be talking about the program (mailer) where GMAC pays 1,2,3 or 4 months payments on a new 2005. But it reads like it does not apply to the Corvette and the Hummer.

You are correct. It does not apply to the Vette.
